| Barcovan Beach is a family-oriented community and is located near Carrying Place, within a short channel which connects Weller's Bay and Lake Ontario with excellent fishing and swimming. Carrying Place of course has Carrying Place Road which is the oldest road in the province of Ontario - it was a path for portage between the Bay of Quinte and Weller's Bay leading to Lake Ontario.
